Where is the light weight trailer?


With the nationwide promotion and implementation of high-speed weight-recording charges and strict regulations in various places, light-body hangings are becoming more and more popular. Many users have replaced their original heavy-weight hangings with light-weight hangings to create better benefits. Generally speaking, a 13-meter light-body silo trailer can be nearly 3 tons lighter than a body-mounted trailer, so how does a light-body trailer reduce its weight?


● The girders are made of high-strength steel


The weight reduction of the light body hanging beam is mainly made of high-strength steel, mainly T700 high-strength steel. On the premise of ensuring a certain strength, the thickness of the upper and lower wings is reduced.


 


The height of the beam should not be lower than 500mm. Some manufacturers reduce the beam height to 450mm, 420mm or even 400mm in pursuit of lightweight, which is not desirable. There is also the use of beam drilling to reduce weight, which is also not desirable.




Light body hanging beams also use one-time forming beams to reduce weight, and the weight reduction is very obvious. Taking the 13-meter warehouse rail trailer beam as an example, the light body hanging beams using one-time forming beams are generally about 5.5 tons, while the high-strength steel beams are used. The light body hangs at about 6.5 tons, and the one-time forming beam can be nearly 1 ton lighter.




However, in terms of bearing capacity, the load capacity of the one-time forming beam is smaller than that of the high-strength steel "I" beam, and the toughness of the one-time forming beam is not good, which requires higher road conditions. And it can't be overloaded, especially it can't be centralized.




● The beam adopts "W" type penetrating beam




The weight reduction of the beam is mainly due to the weight reduction of the structural design and the use of thinner high-strength steel to reduce the weight. Light body hangers generally use thinner high-strength steel cold-formed edge beams to reduce weight, while ordinary heavy body hangers generally use channel steel and bottom-laying grooves.




In terms of design, the light body hanger generally adopts the structure of "W" type through-beam. Although it can effectively reduce the weight of the trailer, there is still a certain gap between it and ordinary channel steel in bearing capacity.




● Thinner high-strength steel for base plate




The base plate is made of thinner high-strength steel to reduce weight. Light body hangers generally use 1.5mm or even 1.25mm high and light steel as the bottom plate, while ordinary trailers generally use 3mm ordinary steel bottom plates.




● The leaf spring adopts 4 lightweight leaf springs




In terms of leaf springs, the light body hanger adopts 4 thick and lightweight leaf springs, while the ordinary heavy body hanger generally uses 10 leaf springs, which can reduce the weight of the leaf spring by about half.




● Decrease the number of steel materials such as car panels




Lightweight hanging, the reduction of weight on the panel of the carriage and the side beam of the upper side beam of the carriage is mainly achieved by reducing the thickness of the steel. For example, on the side beam of the carriage, the channel steel is usually hung with 16# national standard steel, and the light body is hung with 14 channel steel or bending parts.

In fact, to put it bluntly, there are four main aspects of the lightweight of trailers: 1. The actual load range becomes smaller and more stable (for example, the original heavy body is 100 tons, but now the light body is only 50 tons); 2. The steel plate material label (high strength) is improved. Use of HT700 steel); 3. Optimized design to achieve lightweight (the use of w beams, and through-hole design, etc.); 4. The use of lighter accessories (large single tire, disc brake axle, air suspension, aluminum alloy aperture, etc.) It can also be used on heavy weights, which is not mentioned above).




    Having said this, I believe everyone can see that light-weight vehicles are "reduced" models to a certain extent compared to heavy-weight vehicles, and they have stricter requirements on users' usage conditions. When configuring, be sure to explain your working conditions to the trailer manufacturer's technicians.
